Geothermal Museum
The guided visit to the Geothermal Museum takes visitors on a journey through science and technology. You can see scale models, historical footage, and original instruments used for geothermal energy exploitation. It is an opportunity to observe natural phenomena up close and to discover the role that the use of this resource has played in the past, as well as the importance that geothermal energy holds today and will have in the future of renewable energies.

We meet at Piazza Leopolda, Larderello at the entrance of the Museum itself.

At the visitor welcome point in Larderello, restrooms, a café/bar, large covered rooms, and equipped outdoor spaces are available, ideal for relaxing breaks or eating packed lunches.

To fully understand the exhibits and geothermal phenomena, it is recommended to join a guided tour. The guide provides scientific explanations, historical curiosities, and in-depth insights that make the experience at the Geothermal Museum clearer and more engaging.

WITHOUT GUIDE
The Geothermal Museum is free to enter if visited without a guide. Individuals, couples, families, and small groups (fewer than 10 people) do not need to book in advance. For larger groups wishing to visit the Geothermal Museum independently, prior reservation is always required due to the museum’s limited capacity. Guided tours that are booked take priority.
